Polka Freak Out
This collaboration first began developing a few years ago while Bubba was a member of the two time Grammy award winning Brave Combo and was covering one of Alex's tunes.
While on tour in Pennsylvania, Bubba visited River's Bend Recording and jammed with Al and Alex and a Polka Freak Out was born!
Since that time Alex and Bubba have developed a recording project in Texas fusing the European and American Polka traditions with the
Tejano/Conjunto traditions of
south Texas and Mexico to come up with an exciting new musical sound.
The Polka Freak Out CD was
released in June, 2007 on
Moon Zero Bird Records.
The band is currently scheduling touring dates throughout the nation.
