Muzika Europa
Muzika Europa offers performances that feature a European blend of world music.
Muzika Europa is available as an acoustic duo with Alex on Accordions, Keyboards, Horns and Vocals and Ilka Henits on violin and mandolin or as a full band, adding Alex's father Al Meixner on Percussion and Vocals as well as Roger Latzgo on Guitar, Bouzouki and Vocals. The focal repertoire of the group is “gypsy” music but varied rhythms and musical styles make the performances compatible with everything from traditional folk ensembles to contemporary pop bands at festivals and on concert stages.
Muzika Europa's premier CD was released in August, 2005 and features music from Croatia, Hungary, Austria, Greece, Italy, Slovakia, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Spain, Bulgaria and France.
This diverse mixture of music is just a sampling of the versatile repertoire the live show can present.
The group is currently booking concert and festival dates, as well as private parties.
