Jazz Visions
featuring Alex Meixner
Jazz Visions is a straight ahead jazz combo featuring Alex Meixner on trumpet, flugelhorn and accordions with some of the premier musicians from Eastern PA and New York City. Collectively the musicians in the band have recorded on over 100 albums and performed with many leading artists in jazz, classical, folk and pop settings.
Jazz Visions performs original repertoire and arrangements of classic jazz standards encompassing bop, latin, swing and fusion styles as showcased on the band’s premier CD “Scenes from a Parallel Universe” (Station House Music CD-101). They have performed at festivals, concerts and private functions throughout the Northeast US since officially forming in 1999. In 2004, they also hosted the Jazz Jam at Bethlehem, PA’s Musikfest, one of the largest music festivals in the world.
